Electronics Co. said Tuesday its Galaxy S7 Edge
was named one of the best smartphones last year at an annual mobile technology fair in Spain.
The S7 Edge
was recognized by the Mobile World Congress show in Spain "for its refined design, advanced camera and outstanding performance," Samsung said in a statement.
Park Jun-ho, vice president of Samsung Electronics, said in a statement, "This award is a testament to our constant pursuit of excellence as we continue to exceed consumers' expectations through revolutionary mobile technology."
Samsung did not unveil a new smartphone at the mobile technology fair, as it is recovering from the global recall of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone last year.
Samsung will unveil the new flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone on March 29 in New York, the company said.
